Best Microcassette Voice Record to Sell on eBay
One of our favorite most common things to sell on eBay are microcassette voice recorders. We have been able to purchase them for a few dollars and then resell them for high profits.
Microcassette recorders sell for an average of $22 to $42 on eBay. However, there are some specific brands that you can sell for much higher depending on model and condition.
Here are some of the brands that you should keep an eye out for and always research if you find one at a garage sale, Goodwill, thrift store, or any other discount deal.
Olympus Pearlcorder Microcassette Recorder
A couple of Olympus Pearlcorder models that you’ll want to keep an eye out for are the J300 and the S701 models. Both of these are selling for a decent amount of money and they seem to be in demand.
Olympus Pearlcorder J300. The sold prices for the J300 range from about $40 for a used one to about $140 for new. I also like to look at the ratio of active listings versus sold listings to help determine if this item is in demand or not. At the time this article was written (August 2019) there are 35 Olympus Pearlcorder J300s in the active listings and 129 in the sold. That tells me that this is a hot item and even if I have to pay up to get it, I can resell it for good money and do it pretty quickly!
Olympus Pearlcorder S701. The sold prices for the S701 range from about $30 for a used one to about $180 for new. Also, at the time this article was written there are 82 Olympus Pearlcorder J300s in the active listings and 96 in the sold. While this item isn’t in as high of demand as the J300, I would still buy it to resell if I could purchase it for a decent price (especially if I got it new in package).
Best SONY Microcassette Recorder
A few of the best selling SONY microcassette recorders appear to be models M-560V and M-455. Both are great models and sell for decent prices for both new and used.
SONY 560V Microcassette Recorder. The price for the 560V ranges from $30 to $230 depending on whether they’re new or used. This model is also a hot seller because there are (at the time of this article) only 66 listings in the active and 200 in the sold listings. There is definitely quick money to be made with this item!
SONY Pressman M-455. You can sell the M-455 for between $20 and $130. If you find one that is used, I would recommend adding some microcassettes to your listing to bring the price up a little bit so that it’s worth your time. There are 27 active listings for this model and 38 in the sold so it has a little demand. Definitely a good find!
Craig Microcassette Recorder
There is mainly one Craig microcassette recorder that sells the best on eBay. Whether new or used, you can sell it for between $30 and $120.
At the time of this article, there are 40 in the active listings and 37 in the sold. You might not sell this one as fast as some of the others in this article, but it’s still worth picking up for resale because of their value.
